Very Best Beach In Vancouver
After immersing my feet in the flaring waters of Wreck Beach in Vancouver, I continued writing my name on the dark grey sand. This astounding nude beach in Vancouver is enclosed in the shadow of the scenic landscapes of British Columbia. The entire scene looks so captivating that for once got the feel of watching some piece of imagination that I have created out of my own mind.
It was a clear summer day, when eagles and herons glided above our heads and the cumulus clouds gathered like clusters of marshmallows in the sky. I could see a kingfisher in the distance, seemingly waiting to catch its prey. On land, parrots and magpies were swooping above the dense forest, almost as if they were monitoring their territory.
Nevertheless, it wasn’t just these exotic birds were the only attraction that drew me to Vancouver’s Wreck Beach. I wanted to experience the captivating combo of Canada’s largest optional-clothing beach and the sensations of true beach vibes.
This beach is nearly 8 kilometers long, stretching all the way from the Booming Grounds Creek on the Fraser River to Acadia Beach. However, it is only the small part known as Wreck Beach’ that is famous for being a haven for nudists.
As I walked along the shores of Acadia Beach, my feet could feel the rocky little pebbles that rendered a form of foot massage to my sole. The beach’s shady regions were supplied by the plenteous emerald shrubs that surrounded the beach’s inland.
As I continued walking, I was glad for the low tide, since it made a straight pathway for me through the waters to Wreck Beach. I wasn’t surprised to see the place teeming with naked people. Amidst all the activity, there were temporary stands on the shoreline, and they were selling a variety of items, including handicrafts, clothes, jewelry and alcohol.
For once I though this place just can’t be Canada…….I mean with all the liberal hippies and broad-minded locals cherishing their freedom in a full-fledged form. More than just a nude beach in Vancouver, it seemed like a carnival that was running all the time. Though, because of a little conservative mind set of mine I preferred to keep my clothes on.
There are wooden planks all along the coastal area, and they form trails leading down to isolated patches and sandy spits. Trail 7 was known to be a popular one with intimate couples, so I decided to follow it and indulge my curiosity. But I did not come across any couples. Instead I found a very tranquil sandy retreat, where I was all by myself in the company of tall grasses springing out from calm waters. The rays of the sun, which was slowly drifting towards the horizon, were dancing upon the shimmering water surface.
By eve I started feeling hungry. I started walking towards the nearby eatery – Stormin’ Norman and ate to the fullest. After the usurious veggie burger, I placed an order for Marco’s organic fruit juice. It was refreshing and cool.
When I looked back on the wonderful experience of spending my entire day on Wreck Beach Vancouver, I realized that it was better than anything I could have imagined.
